Mariano Amartino

Mariano Amartino is Microsoft Startups Director for Americas, where he runs the startup and VC programs and engagements with investors, entrepreneurs and the ecosystem. 

 Prior to this he was CEO of Wayra, Telefónica´s Accelerator and investment unit, running operations on 12 countries across Latam and Europe. From 2009 to 2011, when he joined Wayra, Mariano was the CEO of Hipertextual taking it to be leading blogging network in Spanish language.  

Passionate about innovation and startups, Mariano has more than seven years’ experience in leading investment, innovation and digital transformation units, corporate venture capital and startups ecosystem relations for corporations across Americas (US, Canada and Latin America) and Europe.  

 He currently serves as board member and advisor for several startups and still blogs at uberbin.net one of the first Spanish blogs where he covers Online Communities.
