Francisco Martinez

Francisco Martinez has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector and has been the Chief Investment Officer of Afore Coppel since the last 8 years. Francisco holds a bachelor’s degree in finance at the Technological University of Mexico and an Executive Master's Degree in Business Administration (EMBA) from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico. He also has been professor of various finance subjects.  

Within his career in the sector, Francisco has worked in institutions such as Ernst & Young, reviewing investments process of Institutional Investors, as well as in Principal Afore and Scotiabank, acquiring extensive experience in the investment management of both local and international financial assets. In the last 20 years, he has worked within the pension fund system of Mexico, being part of the growth of the system and the evolution that the investment regime has had during its existence. He also serves as a Counselor in several companies where the resources of the funds managed by Afore Coppel are invested.
